Patrol Squadron Fifty VP-50

Thirty-nine years of service from 1953 to 1992. Its nickname was the Blue Dragons.
Established as VP-917 on 18 July 1946.
On 15th Nov 1946 was redesignated to Medium Patrol Squadron LandplaneVP-ML-67.
On Feb 1950 was redesignated to VP-892 and
On Feb 1953 redesignated VP-50  and on June 30th, 1992 was disestablished
